Antisocial Behaviour

Antisocial behaviour is defined as conduct or behaviour by a person which has caused, or is likely to cause, harassment, alarm or distress to another person or persons.

Typical examples include:

  • noise
  • shouting, swearing and fighting
  • intimidation through threats or actual violence
  • harassment, including discrimination or prejudice
  • verbal abuse
  • bullying
  • abusive behaviour aimed at causing distress or fear
  • driving in an inconsiderate or careless way
  • dumping rubbish
  • animal nuisance, including dog fouling
  • vandalism, property damage and graffiti.

There has been a rise in the number of incidents relating to the anti-social use of motorbikes, e-bikes, and quadbikes, both on and off-road. Some police forces have launched operations to tackle and reduce anti-social behavior on these types of vehicles.

WPC launched the second Crime Diary in December 2023 and initially proved to be successful in drawing attention to, and curtailing Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) and crime.

If you have seen a crime or are aware of locations where equipment being used unlawfully, for instance where illegal motorbikes are being stored, then please report it immediately.
