KCC Road Safety – Mature Drivers & Passengers Course

Kent County Council Road Safety Team will be attending The MG Suite, Snodland Town Council on Wednesday, 18 March, and would like to invite you to join them at either 10:00am or 2:00pm.

They will be delivering their Mature Drivers & Passenger Course, aimed at drivers aged 55 and over.
The session will cover key topics including:

General health and wellbeing
Fatigue
Alcohol awareness
Hazard perception
Collision causation
Speed limits

Help shape the future of Suicide Prevention

KCC’s current contracts for delivering Suicide Prevention Training and Bereavement Services are due to come to an end in March 2027. We want to hear directly from people with lived experience, professional insight, and community knowledge to help make sure that the services we commission from April 2027 are shaped by collective wisdom to reflect what truly works.

The workshops will be held online via Teams on:

Tuesday 24 February from 10am to 12pm
Thursday 26 February from 10am to 12pm

Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) – The Government has asked councils in Kent to submit proposals to them for LGR and we want to gather the views of residents and stakeholders to help inform this. LGR involves abolishing all the current councils in Kent (Medway Council, Kent County Council and the twelve district or borough councils) and replacing them with one or more ‘unitary’ councils that will deliver all council services within their area.
